Hmm.....it's tira, because boards Lvl, Kaera and board Inne R boards 4 good and profesional(I don't know how to write tis..) On tira are drawings from people what are starting and they what R learning draw and improving 4 lvl or different better board.Maybe U don't understand me, so go 2 read 'bout boards on Menu "Help" ;]
This pic is good but not for lvl or higher board. I like this Idea and Sora xD
Ask other people what is bad for lvl or higher board, 'cause I can't see him, he is soo dark xD...

the character itself has already many manga style characteristics, which makes it inappropriate for Inne board: simplified, spiky hair, round face, cartoonish anatomy and clothes.also it's a bit too simple for Kaera - there aren't many details, you used two-tone shading only and it seems you wanted to hide the lazy bits by making the figure extra dark. a similar, dramatic effect could be achieved with a slightly more varied palette and more balanced brightness levels.
i understand you worked a lot on the background texture and "smoke" coming from his hands but it looks like you still don't feel completely comfortable using the applet. sorry, tira is the practice board

Okay, first off, why is everybody nagging me about inne and kaera? it was on Level 2. Now, it's on tira... I don't think I'm ever gonna put anything on inne or kaera, mostly because the title of tira seems most comfortable to me and I prefer to put my best work on Level 2. Plus, I alwase do anime/manga stuff, so I'll never use inne.How many details does it need??? I used two-toned shading because that's how he was shaded in ALL of my reference pictures, and I was NOT hiding the lazy bits by making him dark firstly because I was not being lazy on any of it and secondly because HE IS A DARK CHARICTER. All the pictures you could ever see of him are dark! Why is everybody chewing me out about the darkness???
Hmn.... No, I'm pritty sure I'm comfortable with the applet... Why, is there something wrong with the smoke?

i moved this picture from Inne. you obviously put it there, please don't deny it. then it was ME who dropped it to level2, not you. it ended up on Tira, because i consulted my decision with the administrator.if you're not sure abut the amount of details and the quality of execution required for each board i highly encourage looking at other works on certain boards and HONESTLY compare it with your picture.
emphasizing the character's personality (and also light effects) by using dark, contrasting colours is good. but you have to remember that dark/light balance is important and you need to make sure that the viewers can actually SEE what's on the picture. good examples of dark colour scheme works (characters depicted at night) are
also i said you don't seem to use the applet's tools with ease because you said in your comment "Finnally figured out all the wierd special effects enough to finish this." which in my opinion meant you're still a beginner and this was your first attempt at exploring the tools more.
the smoke is good, don't worry.
oh and also i checked those references- actually some of them are fanarts of rather poor quality, but please notice that most use lighter details and a wider palette of hues (more than 3)

.... Seriously? I really DID put it on Inne? .... hnm... Alright, I guess I must have, but I didn't do it on purpose.But I can EASILY make out the details on it... what is everybody else's computer set on a different brightness level than mine? ... Actually, that would make sence...
Well, I tinkered with the effects on a different picture to try to learn them, then came back here.
And, yes this helps. Thanks. I might do another Anti-Sora pic sometime and see if I can't make it Level 2 worthy.
